Randy Brothers History
The Randy Brothers (Randy Jones and Randy Martin) were born when the then Director of Denver Regional Office, "Big Al" Hymer, told the "Bros" that they needed to prepare a "presentation like no other" on the new RSPEC! Program for the 1992 Allstates Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The "Bros" being creative geniuses, set about to create that "presentation like no other". They visited all the second hand stores in the Denver Metro area trying to find just the right black suits, black hats, and those patented black sunglasses. They had big shoes to fill.
Another player in the Randy Brothers scheme was Chris Sutton, an intern with an attitude, and the ability to take a few slides and to narrate and mix sound for the complex Randy Brothers Excellent Adventures (the "presentation like no other"). The resulting "presentation like no other" involved two slide projectors and a dissolve unit and a sound track with music, narration and special sound effects. The twelve minute show wowed the audience at the 1992 Allstates meeting and went on to tour the country playing in such places as Point Clear, AL, Seattle, WA, Asilimar, CA, Atlantic City, NJ, Phoenix, AZ, and of course our beloved capital, Washington, DC.
The Randy Brothers are now retired worn out by their busy engagement schedule. Randy Jones is still at the Denver Regional Office working on something exciting like the Federal Energy Management Program. Randy Martin was able to escape and launch his own lucrative career in web development for energy related organizations and companies, not possible without the tremendous exposure realized as one of the Randy Brothers.
There is a rumor that they may join up temporarily for a reunion tour, but don't hold your breath. Of course, if the price is right, these marketing geniuses could be brought out of retirement. And if the price is "really" right, they may be able to work up a few dance numbers.
