The information that you will need is:

  • Email Address:
  • Account Username:
  • Account Password:
  • POP3 Incoming Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)
  • SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: (mail.yourdomain.xxx)

Other Settings

  • Outgoing Mail Server Requires Password Authentication (needs a password to send)
  • Change outgoing SMTP server port from 25 to 366 (some ISPs block port 25)

Setup Instructions

  1. If this is the first e-mail account on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
  2. Tap Other.
  3. Tap Add Mail Account
  4. Tap in the Name box and enter your full name.
  5. Tap in the Address box and enter your full e-mail address (for example, randy@rlmartin.com).
  6. Tap in the Password box and enter your password.
  7. Tap Save (next)
  8. Tap POP.
  9. Under Incoming Mail Server Host Name, enter your mail server address (i.e. mail.yourdomain.com).
  10. Enter your username and your password.
  11. Under Outgoing Mail Server Host Name, enter your outgoing server name, same as Incoming Mail Server Host Name (i.e. mail.yourdomain.com).
  12. Enter your Username and Password.
  13. Tap Save.
  14. I also recommend changing the Outgoing SMTP Port from 25 to 366.  On the About Page under Outgoing Mail Server it should show the following:

    Outgoing Mail Server:
       Server name: mail.yourdomain.com
       Port: 366
       Authentication: Password
       Encryption method: None
  15. Under “Outgoing Mail Server” heading- Tap “SMTP       mail.yourdomain.com"
  16. Under “Primary Server” heading- Tap “mail.yourdomain.com
  17. Slide Use SSL button to off position
  18. If Authentication does not indicate Password Tap Authentication Tap Password
    Go back to < mail.yourdomain.com
  19. Tap Server Port and change to 366
  20. Tap Done
  21. Tap Advanced then look for “Incoming Settings” heading
  22.  Slide Use SSL to off (not green)
  23. Tap Authentication / Tap Password
  24.  Go back to Advanced
  25.  Go to Server Port change to 110 (if not already set to 110)
